Just in time to likely go out in cinemas with the controversial The Hunt next week – coinciding with the film’s SXSW premiere – the first trailer (in seemingly both green and red band forms) for Judd Apatow’s The King of Staten Island has been rated by Alberta Film Ratings. We expect this one online some time in the next week so stay tuned…

Judd Apatow directs Saturday Night Live breakout Pete Davidson in a bracing comedy about a burnout stuck living with his mom on Staten Island.

Scott has been a case of arrested development ever since his firefighter father died when he was seven. As his younger sister heads off to college, Scott, now in his mid-20s, spends his days smoking weed, hanging with the guys and hooking up with his childhood friend.

But when his mother starts dating a loudmouth firefighter, it sets off a chain of events that will force Scott to grapple with his grief and take his first tentative steps toward moving forward in life.

Starring Pete Davidson, Marisa Tomei, Bill Burr, Bel Powley, Maude Apatow and Steve Buscemi, the film is released June 19 in the US, with a UK date to be announced.
