The first trailer for writer/director Jon Stewart’s (yes, that one) political comedy Irresistible is landing soon – pointing to the film being set to grace our screens this year. The debut look has been rated by Consumer Protection BC, and we expect it online in the next couple of weeks if not any day now, as it is likely playing in cinemas this weekend with The Gentlemen. We’ll be sure to have more here soon…

A Democratic political strategist works the campaign for a retired veteran’s bid for Mayor of a small right-wing Wisconsin town. After the Democratic National Committee’s top strategist Gary sees a video of a retired Marine Colonel standing up for the rights of his town’s undocumented workers, Gary believes he has found the key to winning back the Heartland. However, the Republican National Committee counters him by sending in his brilliant nemesis Faith and a local race quickly becomes a fight for the soul of America.

Starring Steve Carell, Rose Byrne, Chris Cooper, Mackenzie Davis, Topher Grace and Natasha Lyonne, the film is released later this year, with UK and US dates to be announced.
