Almost definitely in time for next week’s release of Cats, United Artists/MGM and Universal have prepared a brief first look at the Jennifer Hudson-starring Aretha Franklin Biopic Respect. The tease was rated today by Consumer Protection BC – given its brevity we aren’t sure yet whether we should expect it online at all…however, as soon as further updates come in, we will be sure to update.

Starring Jennifer Hudson, Forest Whitaker, Marlon Wayans, Audra McDonald, Mary J. Blige, Marc Maron, Tate Donovan and Tituss Burgess, the film is released August 14 in the US, followed by August 21 in the UK.
