Time to breathe a sigh of relief, as James Gray’s twice-delayed follow-up to The Lost City of Z, the sci-fi epic Ad Astra, is finally about to reveal itself to the world. The debut trailer has been rated today by the UK’s BBFC, no doubt in time to go on the big screen with Dark Phoenix which is released tomorrow in the country. Based on that (as well as the film’s social media going live at @adastramovie), we wouldn’t be surprised to see it online even later today – if not then, certainly in the next several days.

Astronaut Roy McBride travels to the outer edges of the solar system to find his missing father and unravel a mystery that threatens the survival of our planet. His journey will uncover secrets that challenge the nature of human existence and our place in the cosmos.

Starring Brad Pitt, Tommy Lee Jones, Ruth Negga, Donald Sutherland and Jamie Kennedy, the film is released September 18 in the UK, followed by September 20 in the U.S..
