UPDATE: WB has officially confirmed that the new look will play with Shazam in IMAX this weekend in North America, with no online release as of yet.

Many have been asking us if we’d get another trailer for Mike Dougherty’s Godzilla: King of the Monsters before its May release. Turns out, we might get just that and more…

A brand-new 5-minute piece, dubbed ‘Trailer 3’, has been rated today by Alberta Film Ratings, likely ahead of debuting in North American theatres later this week with Shazam. Based on the length of the clip, it is likely to be the same extended footage that played at WonderCon last weekend and CinemaCon just last night! Whether, like with Aquamans San Diego Comic-Con reel, this new look will hit online is currently unknown, but it is definitely looking like it will be arriving on the big screen imminently, if not this weekend.

The epic action adventure pits Godzilla against some of the most popular monsters in pop culture history. The new story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species—thought to be mere myths—rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.

Starring Kyle Chandler, Vera Farmiga, Millie Bobby Brown, Bradley Whitford, Sally Hawkins, Charles Dance, Thomas Middleditch, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Ken Watanabe, and Zhang Ziyi, the film is released May 31 in the United States and the UK.
