UPDATE:
Doubtless in time to go out on the big screen with Captain Marvel next week, a brand new full trailer for Simon Kinberg’s X-Men sequel Dark Phoenix has been rated by Germany’s FSK.
We expect it online some time in the next week, possibly as early as this Wednesday (February 27) as villain star Jessica Chastain is set to appear on that evening’s edition of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon (the debut trailer from last September premiered during James Corden’s late night show). This also follows a now-deleted announcement from Fox’s Japanese social media that the new look is due to debut this Thursday in Japanese time zones.
We will be sure to update this post with more information, including official announcements when it lands!

DARK PHOENIX, the X-MEN face their most formidable and powerful foe: one of their own, Jean Grey. During a rescue mission in space, Jean is nearly killed when she is hit by a mysterious cosmic force. Once she returns home, this force not only makes her infinitely more powerful, but far more unstable. Wrestling with this entity inside her, Jean unleashes her powers in ways she can neither comprehend nor contain. With Jean spiraling out of control, and hurting the ones she loves most, she begins to unravel the very fabric that holds the X-Men together. Now, with this family falling apart, they must find a way to unite — not only to save Jean’s soul, but to save our very planet from aliens who wish to weaponize this force and rule the galaxy.
Starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Alexandra Shipp, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Evan Peters and Jessica Chastain, the film is released June 7 in the UK (as X-Men: Dark Phoenix) and the U.S..
