After a debut trailer all the way back in October, Paramount is at last set to drop a brand new look at Kevin Kolsch and Dennis Widmyer’s Pet Sematary in the weeks, if not days, ahead. The film’s second trailer has been rated today by Alberta Film Ratings and the timing suggests – like with The Curse of La Llorona – that the studio is likely to want it play on the big screen with Universal’s Happy Death Day 2U which is released next week. So, expect this new look online at some point over the next 8/9 days and as always, we will update when more info comes in.
Based on the seminal horror novel by Stephen King, Pet Sematary follows Dr. Louis Creed, who, after relocating with his wife Rachel and their two young children from Boston to rural Maine, discovers a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near the family’s new home. When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his unusual neighbor, Jud Crandall, setting off a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unfathomable evil with horrific consequences.
Starring Jason Clarke, Amy Seimetz and John Lithgow, the film is released April 5 in the U.S. and the UK.
