Marvel’s onslaught of trailers continues – following the drop of the second Captain Marvel trailer on Monday and ahead of the rumoured long-awaited launch of the first look at the untitled Avengers finale, we can now confirm that the debut trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home has been prepared for release by Sony. The piece – running at a full 2 minutes and 30 seconds in length – has been rated tonight by Consumer Protection BC.

UPDATE: An international trailer running 2 minutes has been rated by the BBFC today (Dec 7) – so expect not one but two debut trailers (much like with Spider-Man: Homecoming) to land.

This follows initial reports from DanielRPK that the first look at Jon Watts’ sequel, set to start minutes after the end of the highly anticipated Avengers finale, is due to arrive this week, followed by Collider specifying in their report that the Sony Pictures presentation taking place this Saturday (December 8) at 7pm GMT/2pm ET/11am PT during CCXP (Comic Con Experience) in Sao Paulo, Brazil, is due to be where the trailer is launched. UPDATE (Dec 8): the trailer did not arrive online at the presentation.

If the trailer doesn’t arrive this Saturday, today’s rating assures us that Sony will have it play with screenings of Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse which opens next weekend, so expect it online definitely in the next week. As always, as soon as official announcements come in, we will be sure to update.

Starring Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Jon Favreau, Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, Jake Gyllenhaal, Cobie Smulders and Samuel L. Jackson, the film is released in the U.S. and the UK on July 5, 2019.
