UPDATE (Dec 07): Warner Bros. has reached out to our friends at ScreenRant over the weekend with an update that the trailer may no longer be landing this coming week – before Dougherty took to Twitter to announce that the new look is coming this Sunday, December 9, during the studio’s presentation at CCXP Comic-Con Experience in Sao Paulo. However, now the team at Toho Kingdom has confirmed with Warner Bros a few days later that the new look will now drop online on the morning (early afternoon UK time) of Monday, December 10.

In any case, we will be sure to have the trailer here as soon as it’s online.

The highly-anticipated Godzilla: King of the Monsters touched down at Tokyo Comic-Con overnight, with director Mike Dougherty to present the world premiere of brand new footage from the film. However, what was shown was only a short peek at what’s to come, as the director – according to multiple tweets and posts from the event – announced during the panel that the full trailer for the film is set to arrive next week, after showing off a short 1-minute tease. Check out a fan recording of it below:

As always, we will be sure to update with more info as it comes in, including the confirmed online launch date.

The epic action adventure pits Godzilla against some of the most popular monsters in pop culture history. The new story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species—thought to be mere myths—rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.

Starring Kyle Chandler, Vera Farmiga, Millie Bobby Brown, Bradley Whitford, Sally Hawkins, Charles Dance, Thomas Middleditch, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Ken Watanabe, and Zhang Ziyi, the film is released May 22 in the UK, followed by May 31 in the United States.
