Following an incredibly brief single-shot teaser ahead of the film’s Venice world premiere, it appears that a brand new full trailer for Brady Corbet’s brilliant Vox Lux (our take from the London Film Festival here) has been prepared by new U.S. distributor NEON with a drop date of tomorrow, October 25! We will be sure to have the new look as soon as it arrives online – in the meantime, be sure to check out a tease shared by the distributor tonight below. The film itself is a knockout and you can be sure that this trailer will be too.
VOX LUX begins in 1999 when teenage sisters Celeste and Eleanor survive a seismic, violent tragedy. The sisters compose and perform a song about their experience, making something lovely and cathartic out of catastrophe — while also catapulting Celeste to stardom. By 2017, the now 31-year-old Celeste is mother to a teenage daughter of her own and struggling to navigate a career fraught with scandals when another act of terrifying violence demands her attention.
Starring Natalie Portman, Jude Law, Raffey Cassidy, Stacy Martin and Jennifer Ehle, the film is released December 7 in the U.S., with UK distribution to be announced.
