Along with the Golden Trailer Awards, the Clio Entertainment Awards (formerly known as the Key Art Awards) can essentially be best described as the Oscars of film marketing. First established in 1971, the awards celebrate some of the best in film, television and video game campaigns – from trailers and posters, to original content, special experience events and more.
Ahead of this year’s ceremony, taking place on November 15, Clio has released the full shortlist of nominated entries – with some of the best film trailers released in the past 12 months receiving nods in the Theatrical: Teaser, Theatrical: Trailer as well as other categories. Highlights in the former category include well-received teasers for Suspiria, Black Panther, Glass and the genre-bending Deadpool 2 look which also scored a mention in the Innovation category. The nominated full trailers include some of the best 2017 releases including I, Tonya and Detroit, as well as some of 2018’s knockout first looks such as the Godzilla: King of the Monsters SDCC trailer, the Super Bowl trailer for Mission: Impossible – Fallout and that first trailer for A Star Is Born.
Check out the full shortlist and watch the nominated trailers, spots and more on the Clio website – best of luck to all the nominees!
