Following months of speculation and yesterday’s bootleg leak out of an industry expo in Russia, the first trailer for Simon Kinberg’s Dark Phoenix – the sequel to X-Men: Apocalypse which is believed to be the final film featuring the mutant superhero team before 20th Century Fox is consoldidated within Disney and rights transfer to Marvel Studios – has been officially announced to arrive tonight, September 26.
Star Sophie Turner took to Instagram to tease the launch with an animated poster, confirming that the first look will arrive during her stint on James Corden’s The Late Late Show on CBS – which was speculated by many fans to be where it will arrive since the announcement of Sophie’s appearance. This airs starting 9:37pm PT on the West Coast, and 12:37pm ET/5:37am UK time the following day. We’ll be sure to have the official trailer on the site on Thursday morning once it drops!
In DARK PHOENIX, the X-MEN face their most formidable and powerful foe: one of their own, Jean Grey.
