UPDATE: the trailer has now been confirmed to arrive on Tuesday following the NY fan/press event on Monday evening!

Following the last trailer at San Diego Comic-Con nearly two months ago, it appears we are now due for one final look at David Yates’ Fantastic Beasts sequel The Crimes of Grindelwald, to go in front of the likes of Venom and First Man on the big screen.

Warner Bros. is sending out invitations to bloggers, Harry Potter fan sites and influencers for a special event with the film’s cast in New York next Monday, September 24, celebrating the launch of the film’s third (and presumably final) trailer. While an online release is yet to be officially announced, it would seem that the new look will indeed come online that day either prior to or during the event. UPDATE: the trailer has been rated today, with a runtime of 2:24.

We will be sure to update as soon as more info comes in, so stay tuned!

The powerful dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald has been captured by MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America), with the help of Newt Scamander. But, making good on his threat, Grindelwald escaped custody and has set about gathering followers, most unsuspecting of his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings. In an effort to thwart Grindelwald’s plans, Albus Dumbledore enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world.

Starring Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Johnny Depp, Jude Law, Zoë Kravitz, Callum Turner and Claudia Kim, the film is released November 16 in the US and UK.
