A brand new trailer for Disney’s The Nutcracker And The Four Realms was previously set to arrive over a month ago, having also been screened in cinemas with Ant-Man and the Wasp. However, following a month of reshoots earlier this year by veteran director Joe Johnston, the mutual decision by him and original director Lasse Hallström to share credit on the finished film put a spanner in the marketing works and the trailer never came online. Now, it seems like it – or a brand new cut entirely – will be on its way in the coming weeks, having been rated by Ontario Film Authority. We hope to have more info on this as it comes in!

All Clara wants is a key – a one-of-a-kind key that will unlock a box that holds a priceless gift from her late mother. A golden thread, presented to her at godfather Drosselmeyer’s annual holiday party, leads her to the coveted key—which promptly disappears into a strange and mysterious parallel world. It’s there that Clara encounters a soldier named Phillip, a gang of mice and the regents who preside over three Realms: Land of Snowflakes, Land of Flowers and Land of Sweets. Clara and Phillip must brave the ominous Fourth Realm, home to the tyrant Mother Ginger, to retrieve Clara’s key and hopefully return harmony to the unstable world.

Starring Mackenzie Foy, Keira Knightley, Eugenio Derbez, Miranda Hart, Jack Whitehall, Misty Copeland, Morgan Freeman and Helen Mirren, the film is released in the UK and the U.S. on November 2.
