UPDATE: First Trailer For ‘It’ March 29

UPDATE (March 28): Deluxe Digital have sent the trailer out to North American cinemas for Ghost In The Shell this week, and Warner Bros have announced that the trailer will drop on Wednesday:

Original post follows:

It’s not just Justice League that Warner Bros are about to launch the first trailer for. Just on the heels of the (pictures) first look image from Empire Magazine, Alberta Film Ratings have classified the first trailer for Andrés Muschietti’s adaptation of Stephen King’s It.

This comes just after the director, along with producer Barbara Muschietti, both posted images on Instagram teasing something arriving in 6 days – next Wednesday, March 29. And with the rating now, it does indeed appear to be the first trailer, which was previously previewed at SXSW – although this is yet to be confirmed.

As always, we will be sure to update with more info as it comes in, as well as have the trailer here when it’s online. (A special shout out to all the fans who’ve been tweeting us about the Instagram teases today!)

A group of seven children in the town of Derry, Maine are considered misfits and form a group called the “Losers Club.” They soon come to realize that they’ve all had encounters with a demonic entity that appears in various forms, but primarily in the shape of a clown. Not knowing what to call the entity, they refer to it as “It” and believe It is responsible for the recent murders of a number of children in their town.

Starring Bill Skarsgård, Megan Charpentier, Nicholas Hamilton, Jaeden Lieberher, Owen Teague and Finn Wolfhard, It is released in the UK and U.S. on September 8.
