The Coppola family are on a roll this year – Sofia Coppola is set to release The Beguiled this summer, and Eleanor Coppola debuted Paris Can Wait at TIFF last autumn with a release set for later this year. Then question though, is when exactly the film will be released – which is something that we may get the answer to when the first trailer arrives this week courtesy of Sony Pictures Classics. Deluxe Digital Cinema have sent it out to North American cinemas this week, and we expect it online in the coming days.

Anne is at a crossroads in her life. Long married to a successful, driven but inattentive movie producer, she unexpectedly finds herself taking a car trip from Cannes to Paris with a business associate of her husband. What should be a seven-hour drive turns into a carefree two-day adventure replete with diversions involving picturesque sights, fine food and wine, humor, wisdom and romance, reawakening Anne’s senses and giving her a new lust for life.

Starring Diane Lane and Alec Baldwin, Paris Can Wait is released later this year.
