UPDATE: For those concerned the final trailer will be really short given only 1,974 frames are being sent out to fans, do not fret. The piece has been rated by the German FSK today, revealing that it will run 2 minutes and 21 seconds.
Similarly to the teaser back from October, there are two trailers that have been rated, with the longer edit likely to have a bit more violence, while the other slightly shorter edit is probably a bit tamer. Curiously the FSK rated both of them 12 (or PG-13/green band, if you will), how this all reflects on the English-language versions – whether there’ll be clear red and green band versions – is up in the air. Stay tuned Thursday!

There has been speculation (from ourselves included) about when the final trailer for James Mangold’s Logan would arrive. Based on the timing of the embargo lift on reports from last month’s Fox press events, we’ve been expecting it to arrive this Thursday, January 19, and now this has been confirmed by Fox Taiwan, who posted the update over the weekend (UPDATE: the Jan 19 date has been edited out of the caption since posting. Here’s a screencap of the original post, courtesy ScreenRant).
We expect the trailer to arrive at Fox’s usual drop time of 6am PT/9am ET/2pm UK time (check here for the time in your local time zone), and we will have it here as soon as it arrives online!
And if you’d like an early sneak peek, the postcards featuring 1974 frames of footage (totalling just under 90 seconds) from the trailer have been arriving – we are collecting them on Reddit. If you’ve received a postcard, scan it and post the scan in our /r/1974FramesofLogan subreddit!
In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hide out on the Mexican border. But Logan’s attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces.
Starring Hugh Jackman in his final appearance as Wolverine, and joined by Patrick Stewart, Richard E. Grant, Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant and Dafne Keen, Logan arrives in UK cinemas March 1, and in the U.S. on March 3.
