This is way too awesome not to share – if anyone remembers, back when Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice were in production, the two directors – J.J. Abrams and Zack Snyder – took shots at each other on social media by posting photos mashing up the two universes.

Now, in anticipation of Rogue One, and following a stunt from Abrams involving the Nolan-era Batmobile and the Millennium Falcon back in 2014, Snyder posted an absolutely glorious mashup of the two universes, in form of a re-done version of the very first Batman v Superman teaser titled DARK SIDE KNIGHT v SUPERJEDI: DAWN OF THE ALLIANCE! This is really something you have to witness – and no points for guessing which one of the two heroes becomes…let’s say much like Kylo Ren. The director took to new social network Vero to share the piece.

UPDATE: We’ve been kindly asked to take the video down – be sure to download and sign up to Vero (iOS/Android) to see this and more exclusive content from Snyder in the future!

In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction. This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves.

Starring Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed, Ben Mendelsohn, Mads Mikkelsen, and James Earl Jones reprising his role as the voice of Darth Vader, Rogue One lands in theatres on December 16. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is available on all home media platforms now, and Justice League is in theatres November 17, 2017.
