UPDATE: the new trailer had its exclusive TV premiere last night on Extra TV; unfortunately it hasn’t come online yet but we will be sure to let you know when it does…

Original post follows:

Fashion designer Tom Ford’s remarkable follow-up to A Single Man had its debut at the London Film Festival last week – we’ve seen it and it’s one of the best films of the year. Focus Features released a stunning ‘teaser trailer’ for the film last month ahead of its November limited release, which begs the question – will we get a main trailer?

Looks like we may have an answer, as buried in this week’s information from Deluxe Digital Cinema is a listing for a brand new 90-second trailer for the film, which wasn’t sent to cinemas with the rest of this week’s trailers, but will be sent to separately on October 20. Normally we’d have dismissed this as a cutdown (shortened version) of the existing trailer, but given this is not only some time after the initial trailer, but also that the trailer will be sent separate from the rest and that Focus have requested it, and not the previous trailer, play with this week’s releases, we’d be inclined to believe this is indeed a brand new trailer. Stay tuned and we will update when we hear more about this.

  1. The photography is stunning and the multiple story layers intertwine brilliantly to produce a gripping noir-style sexually transgressive pycho thriller. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars.
