‘Doctor Strange’ SDCC Trailer Goes Retro In 8-Bit Remake From JoBlo

If Doctor Strange‘s visuals looked trippy and complex enough with 3D special effects, image trying to condense all of that into a more two-dimensional-styled image…this is precisely what our friends at JoBlo did as part of their 8-Bit Trailers series – where they have re-created the theatrical trailer for the film released at San Diego Comic-Con a couple of months back, complete with MIDI-style music, in the retro style. Take a look at the remake and the original trailer below:

Marvel’s Doctor Strange follows the story of the talented neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a tragic car accident, must put ego aside and learn the secrets of a hidden world of mysticism and alternate dimensions. Based in New York City’s Greenwich Village, Doctor Strange must act as an intermediary between the real world and what lies beyond, utilizing a vast array of metaphysical abilities and artifacts to protect the Marvel cinematic universe.

Starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Tilda Swinton, Rachel McAdams, Benedict Wong and Mads Mikkelsen, Doctor Strange is released October 25 in the UK and other territories internationally, followed by the U.S. on November 4.
