‘Deadpool’ and ‘Suicide Squad’ Hilariously Recap Their Marketing For CLIO Key Art Awards

CLIO have announced the shortlist for their 2016 Key Art Awards – celebrating the best in film, TV and video game advertising – yesterday evening. Many of the big film releases past and upcoming – from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice to the upcoming Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Live by Night – have scored nominations for their posters, trailers and more!

One of the highlights from the nominations is the Integrated Campaign category, where the studios craft elaborate recaps of the trailer, poster and other marketing launches ahead of the film releases. This year’s nominees in the category are Deadpool and Suicide Squad, and the former brought out a hilarious sizzle, narrated by none other than Ryan Reynolds, that is almost as self-referential and foul-mouthed as the film itself. Check it out on YouTube below:

Also take a look at at the, admittedly not as funny but still interesting, sizzle for Suicide Squad below:

The full nominations list is available on the CLIO website and the awards take place October 20th.
